Research Talk is a monthly virtual series organized by the Nepal Research and Collaboration Center (NRCC) — a youth-led, non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a strong research culture in Nepal.

We are delighted to welcome :
🎤Dr. Sahadeep Thapa, Assistant Professor at Kantipur Engineering College and PhD graduate in Physical Geography (Water Resources and Climate Change) from the Chinese Academy of Sciences – Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Beijing, China.

With expertise in hydrology, river dynamics, and climate change, Dr. Thapa brings a wealth of experience in international research and publications.

🧠 Abstract

Turning a project into a research paper is a crucial skill for aspiring researchers who want to share meaningful findings and contribute to academic knowledge.

In this session, Dr. Thapa will guide participants through the entire process — from forming strong research questions, conducting literature reviews, collecting and analyzing data, to writing structured results and drawing informed conclusions.

He will also discuss how to effectively organize and present a research paper, highlight common mistakes to avoid, and share practical tips on publication and presentation. Drawing on examples from his work on river hydrology and climate change in the High Mountain Asia region, this session will help you transform your academic projects into publishable, impactful research.
