NextStep Education and URJA are thrilled to announce the POWERCTRL Hackathon, the flagship event focused on engineering the future of energy systems. POWERCTRL Hackathon is a 16-hour hackathon dedicated to solving real-world challenges in the electrical power and energy sector.

Participants will work on innovative ideas aimed at advancing power systems, improving efficiency, and enabling sustainable energy solutions. The event provides a collaborative platform for aspiring engineers, developers, researchers, and tech enthusiasts to showcase creativity, technical expertise, and problem-solving skills while contributing toward a smarter energy future.

Energy for a Sustainable Future

This hackathon focuses on developing innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and sustainability of modern electric grids. Participants will tackle challenges such as smart grid technologies, renewable energy integration, energy storage optimization, and grid security.

The goal is to design practical, scalable, and future-ready systems that align with the global push for cleaner and smarter energy solutions.

🎯 What You’ll Learn & Experience

🔹 Food and Accommodation
Participants will be provided with meals and accommodation throughout the hackathon to ensure comfort and uninterrupted focus.
🔹 Workshop Tools and Equipment
Basic tools such as multimeters, screwdrivers, multiplugs, Arduino Uno, ESP32, motors, motor drivers, sensors, and boards will be available during the event.
🔹 Electronic Components
Commonly required components like resistors, capacitors, and transistors will be provided to support project development.
🔹 Power Backup and Internet
Reliable power supply with backup and stable Wi-Fi connectivity will be ensured for seamless workflow.
🔹 Relaxation and Networking Spaces
Dedicated spaces for relaxation, informal discussions, and networking to help participants recharge and collaborate effectively.
